About Mojo Motorcycles

The Mojo Motorcycles Story

What began as a way for great mates Michael Poynton and Joshua Carter to make money while navigating their way through university studies soon led to a business called Mojo Motorcycles which would exceed all expectations and set the benchmark for importing global motorcycle brands for the Oceania motorcycle market.

During those formative years, while they continued to study, Michael and Joshua would get containers delivered to a residential street, and then use the adjoining garage for storage and as an administrative hub.

Today, Michael and Joshua remain the directors of Mojo Motorcycles, which is headquartered at Altona North (Vic) in a purpose-built 5000-square-metre distribution centre, backed up by a 2000-square-metre facility in Yatala (Qld) to increase total warehousing capacity to 2500 vehicles.

With brands such as CFMOTO, Kymco, Sherco, Kymco and Landboss, Mojo Motorcycles has parlayed into a dynamic motorcycle, scooter, ATV and UTV distributor operating in Australia and New Zealand with a 150-strong dealer network.

In 2021, Mojo Motorcycles sold its 30,000th CFMOTO in Australia, with the rapidly expanding marque continuing to grow its line-up across all market segments.

Across the board, Mojo Motorcycles has maintained an impressive annual growth rate over the last decade to become the largest privately owned motorcycle distributor in Australia.

A total of 25 employees support Mojo’s warehousing, administrative, dealer, marketing and communication functions.
